DRAWING A TAG
Preference points are always helpful, but not absolutely necessary to draw a tag. 25% of all available tags are allocated to a random drawing regardless of preference points held. Want a tag? Start by APPLYING.
GOT PREFERENCE POINTS
If you are dreaming of hunting Wyoming in the future, Points only are available on the Wyoming Game and Fish web page starting July 1 thru September 30 each fall. See cost below for each species. Preference points will improve your odds in eventually drawing a coveted tag.
TROPHY PREPARATION
Your trophy will be professionally field dressed and field caped. We provide initial ice to start cooling and on to our walk-in for immediate cooling of your trophy.
Meat process is available upon request along with mounting of your trophy performed by our local professional Taxidermist.
RIFLE HUNTERS
We recommend a flat shooting rifle that you're very familiar and confident with (i.e, .243, .308, 270, .280, .30-06, 7mm, 300 win, etc.). Just ask if you're not sure, we can make a recommendation.
NON-RESIDENT APPLICATIONS
Applying for Wyoming Big- Game licenses begins January 1 of the calendar year you are applying for.
Deadline
Elk/Moose - Jan 1st - 31st
Antelope/Deer - By May 31st

There are 2 non-resident application fee choices for Antelope, Deer, and Elk, the Full price and Special. Wyoming sets aside 40% of its non-resident tags for applicants that choose the Special.
TRAVEL
Guests choosing to fly here need to fly into Salt Lake City airport code SLC. You can rent a vehicle or If you prefer we can pick you up and drop you off for an additional charge.
ARRIVALS
SMO requests guests to arrive by 4:00 p.m. the day prior to their hunt. We will get you settled and check weapons for accuracy. If we are going to a remote camp we will do so after site in so to be prepared for your hunt. Depending on your hunt, the hunt will conclude by noon to allow for game retrieval, etc the last day of your hunt for your departure by 4:00 p.m. to facilitate new arrivals. If we have no clients following your date, why rush. We will do all we can to make your trip as relaxing as possible.
BOOKING
Bookings are first come, first served. Due to our low volume operation we recommend booking as far in advance as possible for you. We require a $500 deposit within 15 days of your booking to secure your reservation. An additional deposit toward your hunt is due June 1 and final payment by August 15. Amount depends upon the hunt booked.
Deposits are refundable if a client is unsuccessful in drawing a license within 30 of notification from the client that they were unsuccessful. If a client chooses to leave deposit in place for the following year, they will receive preferred dates available and cost of hunt will remain the same. If a client is unsuccessful in drawing and the outfitter is not notified within 30 days of the Wyoming Game and Fish actual draw date, NO deposit will be returned. Cancellation of HUNT within 30 days of the hunt date forfeits 50% of the cost of the hunt. All clients will receive a cancelation policy upon booking.
